Frequently Asked Questions About

Trinity Christian Academy

What is the A.C.E. program and how does it work?

The academic foundation of Trinity Christian Academy is the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE)

program.  This program is predominately student centered and is designed for each pupil to progress

individually.  Teachers and facilitators are present to oversee and ensure academic success.

Is the school accredited?

Trinity Christian Academy is a Rhode Island State approved school and annually submits to its guidelines

and requirements both academically and otherwise.

 What is the enrollment procedure?

The enrollment procedure begins with the completion

of a pre-application package.  This pack includes an

Application and a Pastoral Recommendation form,

which must be filled out and returned to the school.

Upon receiving both forms, the Academic Committee then reviews each potential student.  After a

decision has been reached, applicants are notified by either telephone or mail in regards to their

application status.  All accepted student’s parents/guardians then receive an Acceptance Package, which

will guide them through the rest of the enrollment procedure.

What happens if my child is transferring from another school?

Each student transferring from another school must complete a diagnostic test to determine their

placement in the A.C.E. program.  Also, T.C.A. will provide the new student with a release form in order to

acquire records held by a previous school.  This step is especially important in upper grades in regards

to the transferring of high school credits.

Will my child have any problems when applying to college?

Upon graduating form Trinity Christian Academy, your child’s eligibility for college would be no different

than any other student at any other school.  We presently have graduates attending colleges all over the

United States.  Scholarship eligibility is also not affected; in fact, being from a smaller school can improve

a student’s chances for certain scholarships.

How much does it cost to attend Trinity Christian Academy?

The cost varies depending on grade level and amount of children per family who attend T.C.A.  Discounts

and payment plans are available and also described in the packets.

Where is the school located?

The school is located at 2119 Hartford Avenue, Johnston, Rhode Island, inside Trinity Assembly of God.

We are on Route 6, not far from the 295 exits.

Is transportation available?

Busing is available for students in grades K ~12 and who live in the following towns: Johnston, Providence, North Providence,

Pawtucket, East Providence, Smithfield, or for any student living in Region Three.  Students who live outside of Region

Three must have their own transportation.

What is the current number of students enrolled?

Trinity Christian Academy is a small school with a family atmosphere that is an extension of the ministry

of Trinity Assembly of God.  We currently have 72 students grades Pre-K through 12th.

Does my family have to attend Trinity Assembly of God to be eligible

for enrollment?

You do not have to be a member of Trinity Assembly of God to attend T.C.A. however; we are a Christian

school who considers the spiritual as well as academic needs of each student.  Our curriculum is Bible

oriented and weekly chapel services are required of each student.
